It's not a waste of time, but statistically most people won't spend a lifetime with the people they have romantic relationships with in high school.

It's important for one's social development to have relationships in high school, but it's also important to note that not many people have truly developed into the person they're going to be by the time they complete high school.

So, it's not a waste of time, but I wouldn't expect that in most cases one would find one's life partner in high school.

some human beings met their different halves or husbands in severe college, have been given married and are nevertheless going solid. i be conscious of countless couples like this. yet they are the exception. i think it is vital, in case you meet somebody that may not basically a distraction yet who's smart, complicated working, worrying and not basically after one element. you may tell whilst somebody is incredibly into you and is nicely worth you being with. yet you may shop your eyes open and be actual. Do you mean discouraged because of the soreness it could reason? because of the fact it could reason so plenty extra desirable than you anticipate. Distractions, emotional soreness because of the fact you purchased with somebody and had intercourse, now each and every person is finding and talking approximately you, being pregnant, then you certainly might could drop out of school, and so on. yet this is a great gamble you're taking. this is life. provided that, you think of this is nicely worth it. the rest is a distraction.

any relationship that you develop is important
however, that doesn't mean that it has to be an intimate relationship

if it's important to you then it shouldn't matter what age you are
personally for me, i waited until i was done with school (including college) to date. i had a traumatic experience growing up and i wasn't mentally ready to date until i was a lot older.

Relationships in high school are not a waste of time. It is a learning experience, but don't take it serious. Young relationships are all just puppy love. Just enjoy the most out of it, cherish it, and go through the ups and downs together.

I definantely beleive in relationships. I have had really good luck. I have been in this relationship since almost my 10th grade year and I am a senior about to graduate.. And we have really had a great one. It really depends on if you and them are ready to settle down and miss out on your friends and stuff.

Although I didn't think so at the time it was a waste of time. People change so much during and after high school that sometimes even if you had similar goals, they grow apart.

I'm not trying to be a pessimist but statistically speaking most people would agree that their high school relationships didn't last.
