You could hang stuff of the pipes. Your room dosen't have to have a theme, mine don't. Check out this website

You can have lots of fun with this!!!

What is your sign of the Zodiac? If you're a water sign (Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio), try painting the walls a pale aquamarine, then glue those half-round vase marbles on the walls as bubbles. Paint the floor light brown or grey, then paint pebbles on it. paint the ceiling pale yellow (sunshine), with ripples, and the underside of waterlilies. Hang green satin ribbons from the ceiling to be the stems of the waterlilies.

If you're an earth sign (Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo), paint the walls with trompe l'oueil scenery, the ceiling sky blue with clouds, and have a lush dark green carpet. Use lots of wood in your furniture and wall decorations.

Fire sign (Ares, Leo, Sagittarius), bright white everywhere, with red and black accents.

Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius), soft white on the walls, pale blue ceiling, dark blue floor. See if you can paint a soap-bubble effect on the walls. Use cut-crystal globes on your lights, lots of silver and pale blue in your decorating.

Or choose your favourite season of the year, and decorate with that theme.

Whatever you choose to do, you will have a lot of fun doing it. Enjoy your space. And make sure you ventilate properly until the paint is COMPLETELY DRY.

Oh, and about those pipes.........paint them all sorts of wacky colours........stripes, polka dots, stick figures. Hang a plant or some Christmas lights from them.

This is going to be so much fun and totally yours! You are definitely old enough to decorate so don't listen to whomever tells you to hire someone (probably not in the budget) or its your parents responsibility.
What activities do you enjoy? Music, dance or art? There is your theme.
What is your favorite color?
To cover the pipes I would get fabric, something inexpensive with a print that goes with your theme. Staple to the floor joist on one side go under the pipe and staple to the floor joist on the other side forming a hamock. Very fast and easy if there is a pipe problem easy to get to the pipes. Someone may be able to help with this one staple the other hold the fabric in place.
I'd go with white walls, trim out in color of your choice. Either paint a chair rail or trim at the top and or bottom of the wall. Definitely seal the floor and put down a fairly heavy rug.
You will have room enough for a desk, a chair or two, maybe a TV, book shelf, etc.

Ooooooo

First thing that came to my mind was license plates ! Things to hang from the pipes. Artwork. An old skateboard. Other three-dimensional objects. The possibilities are endless!

Don't try to stuff too much stuff in there -- keep it open and uncluttered, with a few details.

Keep it "rustic" in color and texture (decorate an end table with copper flashing swishes, nail some foreign coins into the sides of a bookshelf). Cranberry, sage, gold, sand, brown.

It can still be feminine with the right colors and accessories.

Have fun!!

you can probably shop at JcPenney, and first pick out a comforter/bedsheet, then when u decide which one u like, u can base ur theme off the design of the bedsheet, ur theme can be the colors on the bedsheet
u can also get all the matching curtains, rugs, pillows, etc.. from one store..JcPenney

if u want to go for a cheaper price try Kohl's or Target (has really nice things) for a better price

another nice store is IKEA

Well, come up with a theme that you really like...if you like the ocean, do an ocean scene...use the pipes as fish or seaweed. You could do a space theme...paint different planets, or a garden scene, how about an amusement park...it's up to you...basements are great!! The opportunites are endless...think up something great!! Have Fun!!

Pick a colour. paint the pipes a lighter shade of the colour. use furniture colour that contrast the paint and decide if u want the place to be cosy or friendly, or just accessible?

It depends on what you're into.
You could always just go with a color or a couple colors that look good together. You should base your decision on what you like, or your favorite color, or do some kind of sports theme/music/book theme. It all depends on what youre into
