To ParisKiss & Spiritual Gunslinger:
Hm. Well first, it's a Bad Idea to try to
order a God around. They are Sentient in Their own right. They will Choose to award or refrain from honoring your _request_.
That's a key element of interacting with Them. You have to be humble.
By way of metaphor: How would you interact with a human vs an animal? You can train or command an animal...but you may/maynot be asking for trouble if you
used the same style of communication with
a human.
Insofar as closing your Ceremonial area:
Just use syntax with Them similar to that of
what you'd use to...let's say...closing a telephone chat with a government official you wanted a favor from, only (of course) you're going to be a bit more polite and/or
humble.
The Gods will stay or depart of their own volition. And unlike an astral larvae or
elemental...it's can normally be a lot nicer
of They choose to linger.
Then you'd move on to whatever your
standard operating procedure (SOP) for
shutting down your area.

the very suitable area of do could be which you will instruct her the spell and probably furnish the various textile issues that she'd choose. even nonetheless, for the spell to paintings the suitable for Maria, then Maria's own capability and concentration could desire to be what drives the spell, no longer yours, as you haven't any longer have been given any theory of all the extenuating circumstances, nor do you have any theory if she's incredibly and a hundred% dedicated to the workings. Her own energies and dedication and not easy paintings is the very suitable thank you to bypass. Brightest advantages, Raji the fairway Witch

Paris...this isn't a mocking question...this is just an inquiry...am wondering about something... I was reading the replies and I see everyone corrected the question - never tell the goddess what to do...
What is "Invoke", but another way of saying "summon"...if one cant tell the goddess to leave...how can one tell the goddess to come?
Again...a serious question - am a bit confused and hoping you'll be willing to explain.

hello my dear
once you have brought the goddess into your circle you can ask her/him or both what you brought her/him them there for, i usually ask for 3 things ,something for the world , something for someone i no then for myself if i feel that i need something not just want, you have to vizualize what it is you want so long as you remember not to ask her to change someone else free will or to harm someone, sometimes during ritual and you invoke the goddess it maybe just to say thank you. also if you wish to learn about wicca and witchcraft then there is very good website its semester is just starting it is called firefly academy, it is US based but it is international and open to anyone who really wants to learn, it is free.

The first answer is right.
You are not ready for serious spell work.
HOWEVER< since you have invoked Deity - you treat them like you would anyone whom you are meeting. Be nice tot hem. Talk to them. Build a friendship, a relationship.
Don't just call them only when you are asking for help.
Call them sometimes to get to know them, or just to talk, or to thank them for GOOD things too.
If you have a friend who ONLY calls you when they need a ride tot he airport - eventually, you will stop picking up the phione when you see their number pop up on the caller ID

Yes, after you have read the invocation, state the reason you have called him/her (I am not familiar with Brigid).
Chances are, you will not be able to communicate orally with a deity unless you are very advanced and psychically open. That does not mean that the deity will not communicate with you in some other way. You may feel something subtle, an emotion, which may signify the deity's response to your question / desire. Perhaps you will simply know, without understanding why you know. The deity may come to you in a dream. Just be respectful. Don't worry too much, just follow your heart.

Paris you need to find a teacher and do some more reading. If you are an adult find the herbalist shop in your town and see if they have a message board to post on. I am not saying you should post anything but see whats up you may find someone that can help you.
And FYI you NEVER TELL a Goddess to go. You thank Her for coming, and I usually leave an offering of wine and cookies that I have made.
Hope that helps and if you have any more questions shoot me an email and I'll do what I can for you

I don't think you can 'tell' a goddess 'to go' that might be a bit sticky for you.
But the ritual is what you make it. Christians only have to do things certain ways if they are in a particular church, non-church Christians speak to their god any way they feel good about. I think it should be the same for any belief. If it feels right, do it. but I wouldn't suggest you try to dismiss her if you believe in her power.

It sounds like you do not have a mentor.
Learning on your own can be hard. And it often involves making a lot of mistakes. I would reccomend you find someone to help teach you (providing you are an adult and not a teenager disobeying her parents) and read several books on magical theory. You should do these BEFORE you try to work on your own with no guidance.
After all, if you don't understand what you're doing fully, it makes no sense to try doing it. You'll only wind up getting no result.

A tip - if you don't know, you're not ready and you need to start with smaller magics before you try.
And you don't "tell her to go" - she's a Goddess, for pete's sake. You don't "tell" her to do anything.
conchobor2 - nice analogy about not only talking to Them when you 'need' something!
