there is no limit. I have gone in to a liquor store in NH before and bought $400 worth. It's cheaper in NH and it wasn't all for me, but haha.
how many people are going to be drinking it? I don't think 5 people need 3 bottles. But only you guys know how much you can drink, how long you plan on drinking for, and everything like that. That being said, you can't really have too much alcohol. If you don't finish it tonight, it'll keep until your next party. why get three bottles of the same stuff? I like mixing it up. That doesn't cause any hangover problems for me. It's when i mix other stuff too where trouble comes along. very cheap beer, wine, clove cigarettes, etc might cause me problems.

No set rule.
Some people get drunk and go to sleep after two or three drinks. Other people can drink a whole bottle of hard liquor and still look perfectly sober. (They aren't sober, but they look it.)
If you boys can't get into enough trouble with 3 bottles of tequila, y'all ain't half trying.
