It is actually Christ. Since He is the spokesman for God, it is Christ that is always called Lord in the OT.

He has been traced back to Baal. His consort was Ashtar. The OT god is really Baal. He demanded the sacrifice of everyones firstborn child, being passed through the fire, or burnt alive. He had a brother known to some as Sin. There was much sibling rivalry between them. Their father was king of the earth. He divided it between them. God is nothing more than a brat wanting his and more, too. And, people worship, which means work, this guy. There are no sky gods, only those who could fly with machinery. In all ancient cultures this is recorded. Just different names for the gods/goddesses and their flying machines.

Now wait a minute, do you know the God of the Old Testament? Do you know what the Trinity taught as the prefigurement of the Church upon which the Blood of Christ, the Covenant that is new and everlasting rests?

The Old Testament documents both in Word and in Action the delivery of the Law to the Prophets and the promises of the Messiah. This fiery God is the Lord's stand against evil, tyranny and oppression. But God did not yet deliver to the people a remedy for their sin.

The remedy came through the Church which Jesus instituted through Peter when He said: Thou art Peter and upon this rock I shall build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Thus the remedy founded in the new and everlasting Covenant merited by the blood of Our Lord on the cross is the sacraments and the Mass.

Your failure to recognize the Truth of the existence of God is a wish to remain immature. And that will cause your life to fail.

St. Paul said: When I was a child, I thought and acted like a child. But when I became an adult I put childish things away.

To see who God is and what He teaches, look at the Doctrines taught by the Catholic Church at the links below. For 2000 years these Doctrines have led countless people to have a blessed life and the attainment of heaven.

The God of the Old Testament was none other than the great Jehovah, otherwise known as Jesus Christ, the Messiah. It was He that created the earth and all that is in it.
