turn him down and he leaves it that but is always pleasant to you (i.e. he is a genuinely nice person) would you get over him asking you and move on to be friends if 2 months have now passed?

If he's someone I genuinely like, but I have no interest in dating him, I'd try to be friends with him from the beginning.

And be friends? I usually turn down guys who are waaaaaay not my type so they're like at the opposite end of the spectrum already. To most guys who are nice and a pass I give them a chance... but if I turn them down already there's no point in returning... not even friends. no. acquaintances maybe.

Well, if he asked me in a nice way...some guys get their friends involved and it turns out to be major embarrassment for both parties. It really depends on the person because sometimes you might think you're being nice to that person, but in reality you're really annoying and they really don't like you. However, if it was me, I'll probably want to at least be your friend...mainly because I'll probably feel bad for turning you down.

yes, friendship can overcome a moment of embarrassment.

Stevie - LOL, do you meet your ladies in the red light district? We are not all that quick to drop our pants.

Stevie - Im struggling to remember you too, clearly it wasnt that memorable for me either! lol (hope you are taking this in good humour)
