I use the cover seats and i hover....so i dont touch it. they say theyre not as dirty as youd think. but i dont care i still hate germs and people are raunchy. in fact a cell phone has more harmful germs than a public bathroom toilet seat. scary huh?!

If the seat is visibly wet, then I wipe it off with toilet paper. But if it's dry, I don't bother. Unless you have open wounds on your butt or upper thighs, it's very, very unlikely you'll get any disease by sitting on a toilet. Better to just keep your hands washed and try not to touch your face when you are not able to wash your hands.

No, but I wonder just how hygienic the paper toilet seat covers really are. They hang on the wall behind the toilet, after all....

Yes, it's a good idea to cover the public toilet seat before you use it.

If the seat is visibly wet/dirty, I'll find another stall that has a clean toilet seat. If one isn't available, I'll squat. However, if the seat is dry/clean looking, I'll sit on it without using paper or a seat cover. I figure if there are germs and bacteria out there that are strong enough to give me some horrible, infectious disease, no amount of paper thin toilet paper or a tissue paper seat cover are going to stop them. :)

Darlin, I'm like Skeet--I build myself a nest! I'm always prepared (goes back to up-bringing from my Mother) and have spare tissue if there isn't enough to build my nest. I wasn't a Girl Scout, but I am always prepared for most any situtation that I find myself.
