It is possible that this medication is an appetitie suppressment (meaning you don't feel like eating as much) and therefore, in the cold when your body has to work harder to maintain your temperature, you are burning more calories and losing weight.

If you are really concerned, keep a written log of your symptoms and present them to your doctor.

When you're losing weight, you're not taking in as many calories, and calorie burning is what generates heat in your body.

I used to have extreme tolerance to cold, could go polar swimming with no trouble and such. But, my triglyceride level was way up there, and triglycerides are essentially a form of fat that circulates in the bloodstream before it becomes the jelly-belly type of fat.

If you go into my profile and see the question I answered for "Dia," I've been losing weight successfully and I went into that.

I'm ADD too, not taking anything.

I have hear it has something to do with less fat to keep you warm but my scronie kid who is on Adderall always feels like a furnace. Maybe that is all his heat escaping.

I'm not an expert, so this may be completely wrong, but fat works as an insulator, so it keeps you warm by keeping your body heat in. When you lose weight, you're losing fat, and therefore, insulation, so your body heat escapes easier. Hope that's helpful; just common sense, I guess. A friend of mine is a toothpick, and she's always freezing, whereas another friend of mine who is a little heavier is her own electric blanket, so...

Because 1. you don't have as much insulation and 2. The medication may be delaying your body's reponse time to tempurature change. Or you might just be having weight loss and chills, a common allergic reaction to Adderall.

You are losing fat and fat insulates you against the cold. Wear warmer clothing and tell the doctor when you go back. You may need to have your thyroid checked or your glocose level, both which affect how your body regulates its temperature.
