They CAN have an intelligent, serious question...I just don't know why they don't ever want to ask one.

Yes, even Trolls can have an intelligent, serious question, Here is the definition of an "internet troll":
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial messages in an on-line community such as an on-line discussion forum with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response. [1] The rise of the expression "concern troll" reflects an expanded definition of troll as someone whose posts have the primary goal of disrupting or de-railing an internet community. "Troll" is also used in a broader pejorative sense to question the good faith of any Internet user who has annoyed the person using the term.

Someone asking intelligent, serious questions is the antithesis of a troll. I may disagree with them but my disagreement doesn't make them a troll.

Sometimes it's tough to tell the difference between a troll and a devil's advocate.
Devil's advocates ask tough questions or give answers that they do not necessarily believe themselves IN ORDER TO PROMOTE THOUGHT.
Trolls just like to stir up trouble.

Trolls generally are not about asking intelligent, serious questions. They are mainly out to cause trouble and stir up bad feelings among the other posters. If you ask serious, intelligent questions that make people think twice... then you're not a troll.
But you are attempting to be a fireball clone.

Are you speaking of yourself? Because i automatically disregard anything you say about Mormons as being troll-like, but on many other questions we agree on things. SO i have learned to read what you say as long as the word mormon isn't mentioned. plus you ask some good questions.
I guess the only way to know something is to study it.

If you are a Christian or Mormon, a troll is usually anyone that asks a question you don't like.
If you are an Atheists a troll is usually anyone that uses R&S as a soap box to preach to others.
