Im having a hard time teaching my three year old how to blow her nose...any tips?

Haha, I still can't get my six year old to do it. I even tried holding his mouth closed to get him to breath out of his nose, he just wouldn't do it. Good luck...you may just have to use the baby snot sucker for a while.

this made me laugh.

my youngest could blow his nose by 18 months (i call him my nose-blowing prodigy). my 4-year-old still cannot figure it out for the life of her. you tell her to blow her nose, and she sniffs in. you tell her to blow out instead, and she blows out with her mouth. you tell her, no blow through your nose, and she sniffs in again....

i look forward to reading the other answers. but i'm guessing for some kids it just takes a little extra time!

Ask him/her to pretend there is a candle in front of them and try to blow it out with air from his nose.
