the thing is, as a big cat (he's a bengal tiger if I didnt make that clear) he doesnt have all the usual shots as he's not around domestics... our regular vet said they cant help as they're not classed to work for animals under the 'Dangerous Wild Animals Act'... over the last minute or so, he's started coughing a bit more :S Im going to phone the vet to come tommorw

well, it sounds like an upper respitory infection and some antibiotics should clear that up.....get a warm wet wash cloth and wipe your cats eyes a few times a day to keep them from getting sealed shut. take her in the bathroom with the you when you take a shower the moisture will help her sinuses. get a humidifier, that will also help her. but she does need antibiotics to knock out the infection.

well is he sneezing? because if he is that means he has got the flu but if any other problems then i would take them to the vets.

hi my name is mike
happy new year
your bengal sabre is very unique and is fragile as of its age.
apart from that it is very dangerous for a pet to get ill.Something as little as us having a cold is huge for pets as they arent as strong as us. dont uderestimate it.my advice is see the vet.I understand that your worried so i would visit the normal vet if that is possibe.
get better soon
good luck
thankyou mikey

Cats can catch something called 'Cat Flu' i'm sure. but check it out with the doctor first. Any way don't let the cat outside keep it under close observation.

Good Luck.

It may not be the flu, but he is sick (duh...)
In most cases (for domestic cats, but i have NO idea what kind you have), if you had the mother, you could just apply some milk to the cats eyes, and the mother would lick it off, therefore, cleaning the eyes open. Since the vet is already coming, just make the cat as comfortiable as you can, practicially giving it whatever it seems to want, but don't over feed and have a fat cat... thats all i can say... tried to help.. sorry

The vet is the only one who can help you. There are many cat diseases that can cause runny eyes and noses. Get him some help. A regular vet can help with cat diseases, cat are not that much different wild/or domestic

Be sure he has all his shots.

As far as I know, cats can't catch the flu. However, they can catch respiratory diseases which can be very dangerous for them. I would get the vet over as soon as possible. In the meantime, keep him in a quiet place and keep him as warm and comfortable as possible. Try to keep him hydrated with lots of water.
