I'm pretty religious and all, and I want to know if it is bad to straighten your hair. Is it an abomination to God?
Are there any verses in the Bible about straightening your hair and the like?
I'm getting a little convicted, but maybe it's just silly--?

I'm Pentecostal...and, yes, I am serious.

My church does not allow hair to be worn out IN the church itself (they can't really control your outside life). We are allowed to either put it in a ponytail or braid it.
Doesn't straightening count as 'cleanliness' b/c my hair is really messy and frizzy (well, there are rare moments of silkiness) and after straightening, I put it in a ponytail and it's really nice and not poofy..

No,
straighten your hair, dye it or put itin dreadlocks,if it pleases you.

God is not so petty and grummpy as to care.

God wants us to enjoy life and to live in his grace and to rejoice in His Commandments and Beatitudes!

Is shaving beard or heads against God and nature; if so why did St Paul shave his head in Acts?

Of course, your hair is probably beautiful as it is,so why waste money that could be used for the needy or something that enriches your spiritual life more?

Have a happy and blessed New Year!

I think so.
I would like to straighten MY hair, too, but...
I got so tangled up with the confusions of my lord's religion, I pulled all of my hair OUT!

following trends is not bad at all, but if they start to conflict with your standards that is when you have to question if you should do it or not...

you're convicted? what?
well every denomination of church is different. If yours is one of the tiny, silent, new kinds of made-up religions that are starting to turn up then you'd best ask your leader. Otherwise the answer is "no". And I'd suggest you get with a minister or get to church and get yourself into some catechism classes.

There is one about braiding your hair. I Peter 3:3
"Whose adorning let it not be the outward plaiting [braiding] of the hair, or the wearing of gold, or the putting on of apparel:"
