Did any of you see the program "Jesus Camp" on A&E last night? Very scarey; frightening. It reminded me of Hitler's Youth Camps in Nazi Germany during the 1930' & 40's....of course it was apparent these Jesus camps are a product of the Cristian/Republican political machine that has been going on since the Reagan/Falwell political marriage in 1980.Did any of you think is blantant child abuse by their very own parents? What can be done about it to save these poor children?

Start and stick with a campaign to get American children the same human and constitutional rights we adults have.

Children should also have freedom of/from religion too. It should also be a crime to hit any child, just like it is a crime to hit an adult.

Human/Constitutional rights should supersede parental rights. It's insane that it is the way it is today.

Yes I do. I am a child advocate by profession and stuff like this scares the crap out of me. I hope Donna is right and they are closed down.

the kind of parent who sends a child to a jesus camp will only find some other way of abusing if the camps are closed down.

it is wrong to do anything to a child which you would not do to an adult - but it is difficult for the state to convince parents of this.

I think we coddle children, too, much.
I thought the whole point of having children was to have someone to force our opinions on.

I do not have children.

definitely child abuse! i think forcing a child to go to church is child abuse as it teaches them to throw out education and logic, for faith, hope, and the potential of something intangible after death.
