Put your finger anywhere on the map of Ireland - there's great places everywhere. I specially like the west coast - Galway, Ennis, Westport, Sligo, Donegal - but everywhere has oodles of history and landmarks of note.

The Burren. actual do not pass over the Burren. there is no place like it and this is completely breathtaking in its attractiveness. in case you head up the 480 for the time of the suitable element of Clare, end on the admired Poulnabrone Dolmen. And in case you desire to get to an out of how place this is incredibly stunning, stick to the signs and indications to the Poulawack Cairn (you will see a demonstration pointing you to the left while you're heading north on the 480, slightly till now the dolmen). this is style of of paintings to get to (jogging for the time of a great type of limestones) besides the incontrovertible fact that this is nicely worth it and infrequently anybody is going there. We spent approximately 2-3 hours up there and basically observed a pair human beings as quickly as we first arrived. We had the region to ourselves for just about the completed time. somewhat nicely worth it! We even have been given out on the Burren with a notably specific map (gained on the customer's center in Kilfenora) and a compass to discover another somewhat out of how web content (one required us to stroll for the time of a few farmer's assets -- criminal, btw and pass with the aid of an electric fence to get to it). That replaced right into a great type of relaxing yet possibly extra paintings than human beings desire!

A few years ago, we drove around the West coast and loved it: Westport, Galway, Ring of Kerry, Kilarny, Cliffs of Mohr, Dingle etc.

Limerick is underrated and has a reputation it doesn't deserve, it has a great nightlife, some of the finest restaurants in the south-west if not the country, and a thriving arts scene, and King John's Castle ....
Kilkenny is also great, as is Waterford.
There are just so many ....
