I would worry about any minister that couldn't accept disagreement with him. Paul commended the Bereans for checking out what he said rather than just believing it.

Happens all the time, it's called schism, unless you're a heretic, and usually results in someone forming a new denomination. You know, god is eternal, unchanging, consistent. I think GWB said it best "Things would be a lot simpler if this was a dictatorship, just as long as I am the dictator". Or was that decider, so easy to get those confused.

Yep. He said "dancing should not be allowed". He said that's what it said in the Bible. His mistake was giving me a "Strong's exhaustive concordance of the Bible". I found proof that 7 times disaster followed dancing but ALSO 7 times it was mere celebration (without disaster following).

I've disagreed with my pastor before...that's when I go ask him to explain more. Most of the time if not all of the time the context I was perceiving it to be was different than his...so it all works out.

I do not go to church, but have had many of talks with pastors, they are taught what to say instead of inspired {not all, but most}
Preachers need to teach the cream of the milk and not just the skim milk
But most will not go into depth because most are guilty of what they preach
sorry, trying not to sound harsh, and this only applies to those who are guilty
