That would be enacting all of the following into many countries laws:
-Fornication laws, heavily enforced
-Removal of all condoms and birth control
-Removal of all pornographic material
-Anti-Homosexuality laws, including organisations funded by tax dollars to turn gay people unsuccessfully straight, this would then have to be followed by the enacting of more suicide hotlines
-Anti-abortion laws even if the mother's life is at stake
-And anti-euthanasia laws, even if the patient is in insufferable and incurable pain

Anyone think these are all good ideas?

Your whole question suggests that the Pope and other Christians want to punish sinners. This is not true.

Christians want sinners to freely and joyfully turn away from sin and toward God.

Wouldn't the world be a much better place if everyone loved their neighbors as much as we loved ourselves as Jesus suggests in Matthew 22:39.

I am sorry but this small space does not allow me to fully discuss all of the issues in your question.

With love in Christ.

the pope has to enforce the teahings and ideals of Christ, it is his job to maintain the full revelations of Christ, not to do away with his teachings no matter how Unpopular they are in modern day society.
anti abortion laws even if the mother will die, well how do we know the mother will die, are we God? In some cases the mother has lived in spite of what doctors say, where is the faith and trust in the one who gives life, and the one who takes life? Let the mother give birth to the child God has created, and lets trust the outcome being God's decision alone, after all, life should not rest in the hands of man, but the creator. Oh ye of little faith.

Yes, they are wonderful ideas. This is why:

1) Fornication is a sin. It is a sin that hurts the 2 people engaging in the fornication, it hurts the 2 innocent spouses, it hurts any children of the parties, their extended families, and ultimately the community when the children grow up and start acting out their anger.

It is a sin because it is a misuse of a gift. If you gave someone a beautiful and very expensive piece of clothing, would you not feel insulted if that person used it as a rag to wash their car or clean their toilet?

Sex is a divine gift from God, but God wants it to be used as He intended. The Catholic Church and therefore the Pope are on God's side on this subject.

God meant for sex to be the ultimate gift that one person gives to another, but the condition is that those two persons must be married... to each other. Since He is the giver of the gift, He has dibs as to the conditions of its use.

Sex is meant to be a deep spiritual bonding, body and soul, between two persons who have committed to each other through their marriage vows.

2) Condoms and birth control - Part of the gift of sex is that it bestows upon the couple an active part in God's creative love, namely as God so loves us that He creates us, the love between husband and wife creates the child. To prevent this by artificial means places the husband and wife in the position of playing God. The Catholic Church teaches Natural Family Planning, which is not "rhythm", and which is quite effective while not absolutely "tying God's hands". Additionally, many chemical means of birth control cause a very early fetus to abort. (I will cover abortion below.)

3) Pornographic material - I repeat what I said in "1" above. Additionally, pornography hurts those who make it and those who view it. It treats God's precious creation (man and woman) as objects only to be used for sex, and fosters this view in those who watch it. I know that it's a free country and you are free to watch it if you want, you are also free to jump off a bridge... but why would you want to?

4) Anti-homosexuality laws - the Catholic Church has nothing against any homosexual person and loves each one unconditionally. It is the homosexual sexual acts which are condemned, not only by the Church, but in the Bible itself.

5) Abortion - plain and VERY simple, abortion is murder of a pre-born child. No matter how young that fetus, it is a baby. No human fetus ever developed into anything other than a baby. Indeed, if your mother had aborted you at any stage in the nine months prior to your birth, you would not be alive now to post your question. To argue that a young fetus is not human makes as much sense as arguing that a dwarf is not human because he or she is short.

As we do not have the right to murder anyone except in the case of self-defense (and only as a last resort), we do not have the right to kill babies.

6) Euthanasia - again, euthanasia is murder. We do not have the right to play God and decide at what stage of life a person should die. There are very many wonderful hospices who care for the dying, and keep them as pain-free as is medically possible, which, these days, thankfully can be done.

-Removal of all pornographic material
**YES**
this would reduce the need for this:
-Removal of all condoms and birth control
which might also help cut down on the "need" for this:
-Fornication laws, heavily enforced

-Anti-Homosexuality laws, including organisations funded by tax dollars to turn gay people unsuccessfully straight, this would then have to be followed by the enacting of more suicide hotlines

People are gonna do what they are gonna do
in their own bedroom
I think there are already too many invasive laws on the books as it is. I do not support homosexuality.

-Anti-abortion laws even if the mother's life is at stake:
this one, I dont know. I am a pro-lifer and think they should try to save both lives.

-And anti-euthanasia laws, even if the patient is in insufferable and incurable pain

I do think this would be good, there are some good drugs out there to lessen the suffering and if you get on hospice there is no worry about the cost if you are covered by insurance. I say this because if you give them an inch, they will take a mile.

All in all here, sounds like they are cozying up more with the muslims. Except maybe on the last point, dont know their view on this.

I do agree that these things are sins and that people shouldnt do these things, however, I also think that some things are beyond the law and law makers have no business coming into and invading our privacy.

You know they are all bad idea's....its such a shame in this day and age we have to listen to such small minded thinking!...Its a terrible, terrible thing....we need a more liberal Pope...but that is not going to happen.....but we have to keep our family's strong...and show our children that love will conker all...and just because someone high in the church thinks something is right...does not make it right.....the Pope is wrong....and one day he will know that...when he is in heaven....and there will be all the good people surrounding him....and many will be gay....we are all God' children...I don't understand how anyone can preach other wise!

The Roman Catholic church is the largest of the more than 34,000 Christian sects. They are Christians. For you to say they are not is insane.
As an Atheist, I don't think any of those ideas are good, but I don't know if they're what the pope or other Christians believe or not.

Your question is loaded with bias against the Pope.

If anyone wants a fair and unbiased representation of what the Pope teaches, read the Catechism of the Catholic Church or one of the Pope's Encyclicals.
