"Swedish" meatballs. This can be done on stovetop, but I put into crock pot so it stays warm. Thaw frozen meatballs in microwave (You don't have to thaw them, but it will take longer to heat through if frozen). Pour canned beef or mushroom gravy over them and add sliced mushrooms (canned or fresh--whichever's easier). Heat through on low. When heated through, mix in sour cream. I don't necessarilly measure anything out. I use enough gravy to have the meatballs covered and add what I think looks like enough mushrooms for my taste. When you add sour cream, it should lighten up the color.
I also have some great recipes from allrecipes.com. They always are a hit at potlucks.
Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball from allrecipes.com.
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
1. In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in confectioners' sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips. [I stir in the pecans too] Cover, and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
2. Shape chilled cream cheese mixture into a ball. Wrap with plastic, and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
3. Roll the cheese ball in finely chopped pecans before serving. (you can roll in choc chips or leave uncovered if you want.)
4. Serve with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, graham cracker sticks, apple slices.
Dried Beef Cheese Ball from allrecipes.com
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 ounces dried beef (chipped beef)--in packaged lunchmeat section
2 green onions, chopped
1/4 teaspoon onion salt/powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1.4 teaspoon season salt
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, dried beef, green onions, onion salt, monosodium glutamate, and Worcestershire sauce. Form the mixture into a ball and refrigerate before serving. Serve with crackers.
(I usually double this recipe.)
If you can, get a vegetable and dip tray and a meat and cheese tray at the store. Have fun!

yeah these are great i call em puppy chow or dog food but they are great(they look like white coated dog food
you need powdered sugar and chocolate chips and Chex Cereal, and (creamy)peanut butter, and butter
mix (2 cups-1,12oz bag)chocolate chips,(1/2 stick of butter(optianal) butter and(1/2 Cup)peanut butter together. melt for 2 miniutes in microwave stirring very well after1 miniute than 15 sec after so the chocolate dosent melt. after everything is smoothly mixed then put 6cups chex cereal in a bowl or 1-2 gallon ziplock bag and coat evenly with mix. (breaking is normal but try to minimize it) after all of the chocolate mix id evenly caoteing the chex put 1 cup of powdered sugar into a clean 1-2 gallon ziplock bag put in mixture(this will be messy) then 1 more cup of powdered sugar. mix evenly try to avoid clumping and put in a large enough bowel or an old christmas(holiday festive) cookie tin. if you use ziplock bags the cleanup is a breze all that will need to be cleaned is some silverware(used to mix) the bowel used to (heat the stuff) and if you are going to reuse the ziploc bags to make clean up easier let your kids(if any) lick them clean that removes the task of scrupping just wash as regular
* it doesnt matter what king of chex u use i perfer wheat (healthier) but u can use rice or corn
this also works with corn flakes (NOT FROSTED FLAKES) but i perfer chex
it costs $10 to make and 15 miniutes.
you cant go wrong with chip and dip
buy some tostito's resturaunt style or regular and mix a can of hot tostitoes salsa with 1 cup of velveta microwave and serve (perfect snack)
if u wan something gormet
you can always go to jewls or cubs or a big grocery and buy appetizes platters
i use all of thes and more hope they help

You can buy a package of those little cocktail weiners and make a sweet-sour sauce by mixing 1/4 cup white vinegar with 1 (7 oz) jar of raspberry preserves. Bring that mixture to a boil to melt the preserves, put in your weiners to heat and you are good to go!! Serve with toothpicks. Everyone will love them.
You could also serve 7-Layer Dip:
7-LAYER DIP
1st layer - 1 can Jalapino bean dip
2nd layer - 2 avocadoes mashed with lemon juice
3rd layer - Combine 2 T sour cream, 3 T mayonnaise and 1/2 pkg Taco mix
4th layer - 2 cups (1 each) shredded cheddar and jack cheese
5th layer - 3 tomatoes - diced (like Romas)
6th layer - 3 green onions chopped fine
7th layer - 1 can chopped ripe olives
Put the layers together, cover with saran and refrigerate for a couple of hours to meld the flavors. Can be made a day ahead.
Enjoy!

Spinach Dip:
One bag of frozen chopped spinach
One container of (I think it's the 8oz container, the smaller one) of sour cream
One packet of powdered Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing
Baguette bread, pretzels, crackers etc
Thaw and drain spinach
Mix the packet of ranch and sour cream together, mixing a little bit at a time according to your preference. I typically do not use the entire contents.
Mix in spinach and there you go!

Take the crust off white bread, brush the bread with melted butter, sprinkle with parmesean cheese. Roll up cooked frozen asparagus in the bread (canned asparagus will also work). Make sure asparagus is dry.
More melted butter on the outside. Sprinkle with parm. cheese. Slice in 1"-2" pieces and toast in oven 'til lightly browned. Serve immediately.
