We love on her and pet her All the time!
But it seems that, when shes awake, all she wants to do is play... and when you try to pet her she just bites (playing)...
Is this normal?

Very normal. Kittens are much like babies...they take a lot of patience and understanding to raise.
Kittens learn through play...they learn the skills they need to survive. Though she is obviously loved and well taken care of, its an instinctual thing for her to play and learn this way. Trail a string, and she chases...right? She is learning to control her muscles, make her vision more acute, stalk. These are very important things!
When she wakes, leave her be...see what it is she wants, and respond to it. Talk to her as you would a child. Before she sleeps (kittens tire quickly) when you notice her winding down, then pick her up and talk softly to her while you pet her.
Remember...cats DO have personalities! Try to watch her more, and see what her personality is. Interact with her in her way...get down on the floor and play with her. Discipline her, too...when she bites, not playing, but in a bit she might begin to bit for attention or to show displeasure, take one finger and tap her nos and tell her no, sternly, but not loudly. Then, when she grows, she will know you better, too.

If it is a kitten, yes, they will calm down in time. they are learning hunting skills (Not that they will ever use them since you keep cat inside). Play for a cat is very important.

Pet the cat, Play with it. Talk to it. Bruch it.

Teach it to come when called. The reward system and a special whistle or sound will let it know you want it to come. You can also teach it to sit and lay down.

Let it sleep with you. Nothing like curling up with a warm cat on a cold night.

Cats love to be petted. take both hands a rub on both sides of the cheeks back towards the ears. Gently stroke the ears . between your fingers. rub under the chin. Give a massage by rubbing both hands on the shoulders - the top of the legs on both sides of the chest area..

try catnip for treats.

Get her proper shots, Keep her claws trimmed so she won't spoil the furniture. Get a litter box and keep it clean.

Some of it is just natural kitten behavior- they like to play!

Although I don't think you are talking about a feral kitten, you should take a look at the online literature about taming feral kittens, since it may have some useful tips you can use.
http://www.feralcat.com/taming.html

I would suggest asking your veterinarian. The kitten will need to be spayed or neutered anway, so you can just call them and ask them for advice when you make the appointment.

Here are a couple of things that may help:

When the kitten becomes aggressive, don't play with him. Don't touch his belly since that often invokes the Spastic Kitten Response. :-P (I have one that always gets aggressive if I pet his belly.) When he bites, use a spray bottle as a gentle punishment/discouragement. (It can just be on a light mist, even that will annoy him.) If you are getting scratched up a bit (and it still happens a lot in the taming phase), consider getting Soft Paws cat claw covers for him.

Mostly it means refraining from petting him too much while he is playful and attacking, because he will think of it as normal acceptable behavior and continue to do it. I have one that used to get pretty ferocious but he is much better now. (Still a bit ornery but not as bad as he used to be.)
When you do want to pet him, just do it for a few moments before he gets into Attack Mode. Then give him a breather before trying again.

she is just being playful... if she gets too rough a light tap on the nose and tell her no... I always used to do that to my cats when they were growing up... not to hurt them but to teach them right from wrong. Keep playing with them and loving them and they will grow up just fine :)

She is a kitten so yes very normal! She is getting her adult teeth and just growing up. She doesn't have another kitten to play with so she plays with you. Just make sure she knows the line between play and being mean. You have to make sure you discipline them very well and also make sure you give them lots of love and attention. We have 2 kittens right now and they are just like having kids. Sometimes you have to pat their paw to let them know that what they are doing is not OK. Always keep the authority and never let them over run you. Good luck and enjoy them while they are young!!! LOL. Hope this could help.

It is normal for a kitten to want to play...like a kid. You will have to be patient because they will go through stages as they grow up into a cat. Don't let her bite or scratch you "hard" because it will become her habit to do so. When she does it, say no in the mean dad voice and stop playing with her. Play with her again later on.

Yes, it is normal.
Give her lots of toys and a scratching post.
She will become less playful as she gets older. But continue to pet and hold her.

it's normal. you want her to be a lap cat, but, she's not ready to be a lap cat. as a kitten, she wants to play, play, play. get her plenty of toys, and play kitten games with her, and she will be your best loving kitty ever.

If she's a kitten that's normal. Try not to rough play with her (not that you are) and stroke her very gently while talking soft to her. I used to do that with my cat and he is now 10 yrs old, 19 lbs, and is just the biggest baby. I can lay him on his back or do whatever to him and he is just the most calm sweet cat you could ever meet.
