I sometimes see average-looking men with beautiful wives who seem really happy.
He must be everything she dreamed of personality-wise.
However, what about an average-looking woman?
I have all these guys I know that are the exact replica of me personality-wise and make me happy, but they're really attractive and that made me wonder: can a woman who has everything else going for her expect magazine-beautiful looks get the man she wants? I'm a top student, cultured, quirky, funny, fashionable, loyal, and honest. I listen well and I'm up for anything within reason and respect for myself and others. If I have this personality, but average looks--around a 5 or 6 depending on the guy. With this personality, why is it so hard to get a boyfriend? I'm 18 and in college and rather lonely and sad to be one of the few without someone else. I do try to spruce up what I've got with make-up and hair product and clothes, but still...

Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Perhaps you see an attractive guy with a woman you think is a dog. He may think she's the most beautiful woman on the face of the earth. And vice versa, if a beautiful woman is with a guy you think is ugly. It's what's inside that matters most.

hey, i wanted to cry when i read your post.. don't be so sad, we're on the same situation... I'm 18 and a college stud.. I'm a nice girl( like you!) i dress up, average looking as well but, i dont have a boyfriend..
just wait for your prince charming girl.. He'll be there, just concentrate on something you really love to do and dont expect for a good looking guy...
Have some friends around when your lonely... enjoy you single life and be thankful that God is choosing for you perfect match.. He may not be as good looking as Brad Pitt or tom cruise but, hey, if you love the guy, he'll be everything for you!!!

i do extra points for coolness an other things too. a gurl can have a cute way about her. or the way she carries herself. not alot of guys are conserned wit that, i want more than a pretty face

I think it's because men fall victim to what they see. They are very visual creatures. Hence the reason lingerie even exists... They get turned on by what they see. Women are turned on by what they feel.. Don't get me wrong, not all men and women are the same... There are a few exceptions to the rule!
