Why would you not want to dance? You get to gind all the fun parts for free! You're a man. You NEED to control the relationship (in a GOOD way) or she's going to get bored. End of story.

I really do not think there is anything "wrong" with you having feelings for a girl 8 years younger than you! Unfortunately, there are laws that says she is "chronologically" too young for any kind of sexual relationships and guys your age can be put in jail for having sex with girls her age. My 21 year old son has a girlfriend who is 17 and while I worry about what may happen, I have no real problem with it. (my hubby is 7 years younger than I am - but we did meet when he was 24 so "jailbait" was not an issue for us.) Age should not be a factor in a relationship! Seriously, back in the OLD days, how many arranged marriages involved old, rich men and young, poor women? LOTS!!! Here in the USofA, we have so many laws, I often wonder how we can be called "the Land of the Free!" I wish you the best of luck!!!

Well, here in the USA age 17 is legally a minor - and not legal for you to get too familiar with. But, if you are really interested in a long-term relationship with her, with a great future, use the next year to learn a lot about her - like asking questions about what you two want to do in the future. Many relationships fail because the romance wears off, and the couple has nothing in common. Discover your views on spending and saving money, family, personal beliefs, growing old, parents who grow old, kids (raising them with your choices about limits and discipline,) how each partner handles personal conflict, what each ones needs in a romantic relationship, etc. Enjoy the discovery!

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with it.
I myself am 17 and my boyfriend is 26.
We've been together 3 years, which freaks people out because whenever I tell them we've been together for 3 years I get that '' Oooo, at 14?!?! what was a 23 year old man doing with you. ''
My parents are very strict and I never told them I was going out with him until only a few months ago. They are fine with the age gap now, although I know for a fact they wouldn't of been when I was 14.
I'll probably get thumbs down for this but we are both in love with other, age is just a number, we didn't do anything besides kissing until I was ready, which without going into too much detail was when I was 15, all my choice, he didn't force me into anything and was happy to wait.
We are moving into a house together in April and everything is going well.
All those people that think age gaps are wrong - need to stop living in their own little land and explore around a bit, because now a days there is so many younger girls with slightly older men. Which is 100% perfect as long as neither person is being forced into anything they don't want to do.
Good luck with your relationship and ignore the idiots that seem to have a problem with age gaps, oh and best wishes for 2008!

uh..
When you get older, believe me, no one will bat an eyelid
For example...
My mum and her partner, 20 years between them.
So don't listen to others who think it is wrong.

As long as you don't pressure her to do things she's not ready for, no big deal on the age.
