not at all...I might if we had statesmen but all we have at present are politicians and politicians only look out for themselves and thier next election.

yes, i do. and that is because of the system of checks and balances. each branch has to check up on the other branches; including the judicial checking on the legislative and executive branches to be sure that nothing they do is "unconstitutional", including laws. "unconstitutional" basically means, going against the Bill of Rights, or the natural rights of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. the declaration of independence also states, that "if a gov't violates any of these rights, it is the right of the people to overthrow it." if the gov't is ok with people overthrowing it for the sake of their rights, they've gotta have our best interests at heart.

The government only pretends to care about the people when it comes to getting there votes for office. Any other time I believe they are all out for their own personal gain.

I don't think many people in the Gov have the "peoples" interest at heart except for their own need to get ahead.
