"The Washington, DC Metrorail system has an elevated Metrorail station connected to the concourse level of terminals B and C at Reagan National Airport. Metrorail fare cards may be purchased at machines locates at all entrances to the Airport Metrorail station. The station is also fully accessible via elevators. "

Metro To Reagan Airport

As the others have pointed out, it couldn't be easier. There is a Metro station right outside National Airport (many residents refuse to use the name of the president tacked on), served by the Blue and Yellow lines. Take the Blue Line toward Largo or the Yellow Line toward Mount Vernon Square, and it's maybe a five-minute ride, if that, to Pentagon City. It's just two stops. Once you go through the faregates and fare card machines at the Pentagon City Metro station, turn left, and you will find yourself approaching the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City There is an entrance to the Ritz Carlton inside the mall, or you can go up the escalators to the outside and walk to the hotel. I don't think you can buy passes online. Every Metro station has fare card machines, and you can buy your pass there. The most cost-effective depends on how much you use Metro. I believe the fare from National Airport to Pentagon City would be $1.65 during the peak hours and $1.35 during non-peak hours. And you need to use the same fare card to enter and exit the system.

Mcpherson Metro

Very easy. Just walking outside the airport you will see the Metro right in front of you. From inside the airport follow signs to go to the Metro, (or just ask someone, most peole are very helpfull there). Get on the Blue Line to Largo Town Center. There is a north bound (you want the North) and southbound train, one on each side of the platform. On each side of the platform there is a post telling all the stops it will make. So if confused just look at the post and you will see Mcpherson Square. You can also freely ask anyone there, as again I find people very helpful. You will have to buy a ticket before going throught the turnstyle. I believe the price to Mcpherson is $1.70. May need to check the boad for the exact price. Pretty simple to read board. Put your ticket in the turnstyle to enter. Most important hold on to your ticket. You will need it to get out of the station later, this is where the fare is deducted. If you lose it you will have to pay a lot higher fare, as the train does not know where you got on at. From Mcpherson Square You will have to walk some, personnaly I would take a taxi. I put a map below for reference.

You go into the terminal and follow the signs to Metro. You will take a couple of people movers and find yourself at the metro station, which will include the blue line. There are signs throughout the airport, but the hall to metro is between Terminals B and C. It's really very easy to see and well-signed. In addition there are directional maps throughout the terminal. I'm sorry I can't be more detailed, but I don't know which gate you will be arriving at, and the directions vary according to that. Note that if you come in to one of the A gates, you will need to walk to the main terminal (B and C gates) to get there.

If you are picking up luggage you will take the escalator from the luggage level, then take the people movers over the street toward the parking garage, and the Metro Station is before you get to the parking garage.

It is very easy and obvious. There is a map at the link below.

The Metro rail station is just outside the airport and easily accessible (catch a Blue Line train towards D.C.).

The closest Blue Line station to *Thomas* Circle is McPherson Square, with an exit at 14th & I ("Eye") Streets NW at Franklin Square. You'll have to walk north up 14th Street NW about three blocks to reach Thomas Circle.

I think you have to step outside, but the station is, according to the Metro's website, directly across from the main terminal. It's a short walk to the old terminal, but they also run a courtesy shuttle van from the station to the old terminal.

I haven't been there since the latest renovations were done, but last time I was there, I walked out of baggage claim about 300 yards outside to the station, where you could catch the Blue or Yellow line.
