I'm painfully shy when it comes to the opposite sex (I'm female). I always assume that the guy isn't interested so I basically blow them off. I have been told all my life that guys don't go after shy girls because they see it as a lack of confidence....I'm actually a very funny person when I feel comfortable and I get along with most people but my shyness seems to be getting in the way....
do men:
1.go for women with super friendly personalites?
2.really notice when a girl is shy ?
3.do they generally find this a turn off?

1. yes 2. no , some think the girl is bieng snoby 3. yes, see # 2. If you like a goy and keep pushing him away you will always wonder if you shouldn't have been a little less shy.

Men like the woman to be friendly and nice...but only for who she loves or likes..not for everyone
Yes they do..and most of them like her to be shy first, but not to look stupid or clumsy just shy.
Men need someone to hear them to listen to them..if you're shy they'll be shy..just don't be shy when you go deep in your relationship with them.

sorry, but really, everything depends on the person noticing you. that being said, if you are more outgoing, then a guy can get to know you better, because despite our best efforts, we arn't psychic yet. :) So dont be afraid to speak up a little bit, and dont forget, if a guy dosnt appear to like you, that doesnt necessarily mean he doesnt. hope thi helps.

I don't mind a girl being a little shy,but if she's so uptight she seems cold...
I'll admit I probably wouldn't have much interest in her.

Everyone is different in what they find attractive, but it is harder to approach a shy person, and they may not appear to encourage interaction...so a guy just moves on to a girl who appears receptive.
You should remember that we are usually far more focused on ourselves than others are. If you feel uncomfortable talking and being friendly and fear rejection, others don't know that....they just take you at face value, and assume you have no interest in getting to know them.
People will respond to friendliness and a smile. Try it.
