i received an old fashioned style brush for christmas and i was concerned that using it would damage my hair- does anyone know? thanks!!

Plastic bristles can, but a boar's hair brush is supposed to be good for your hair.
Just don't brush it wet!

I highly doubt it, just dont brush while your hair is wet. Also try not to scratch your scalp with it because those brushes are very sharp.

Yes, they do so use natural boar bristel brushes. But put some natural oil on the brush before you use it.

yes they do they split your hair from the root down. they open in your cuticle and shred it.

yupp.. ure hair gets caught once the bristles get loose .. and then it pulls out . BIG NO NO
take it from someone .. who lost a lotta hair to a stupid brush
