Our church is having a showing of it tonight. I haven't even seen the movie because I feel that it would be too intense for even me, and I am not a child. I am really worried about the children of our church. Do you think they should not see it. I am talking we have 4 year olds up to 16 year olds... and thats not all of them, but... those would be most likely to attend. What did you think of it?

If I attend tonight, I will definatly take the young children else where. That is terrible. Yes... look at this world, why wouldn't they. Is it rated R? I thought it was Unrated.

Wow! What a way to celebrate the new year. A new dose of guilt to last you throughout '08.
I have seen the movie and it is good. I wouldn't show it to children but I am willing to bet that won't stop the chruch leadership from gettin' at 'em while they are young.

4 year olds shouldn't watch this action picture. it relatively is an extremely gory action picture and has violence so sons and daughters shouldn't see this. did no longer relatively like it cos all you spot is Jesus getting tortured and then death.

I personally have never seen it because I don't think I'd be able to handle it.
But I really think it's about the age of the person watching it... a 10 year old might be more ready to watch it than his/her parents... it all depends.
I think it might be good for your church to see it to show everyone how real this really is. Many people have heard the story of Jesus since they were little and think nothing of it. Seeing this movie might motivate people, even kids, to accept Christ if they haven't already.

I have shown it (on DVD) to my older grandchildren. Anything under 16 yrs old is on the parent (or guardian) to decide the maturity level of the child. I DEFINITELY would not allow ANYONE under the age of 13 to see it though. It is a graphic depiction of the Passion of the Christ. When I saw it at the theater(3x) it was COMPLETE silence at the end when people were leaving each and every time. I even saw adults with tears in their eyes. It is one thing to hear and learn about the arrest, trial, and Crucifixion of Jesus, but quite another to see it.

I really don't think you should take your children to see that movie. It is gory and could leave a negative impact on them.
Also, as I read online that some of the people who starred in that movie also starred in porn movies. So somehow, I think that movie is a sin.

I thought it was an excellent comedy. A slightly bloody comedy, but comedy none the less.
I wouldn't take anyone who is unable to read to it. So I guess when a kid learns to read, that's an appropriate age.

I think above 18 should do, because these category of people can understand the underlying essence of the movie and develop their maturity towards Jesus.....and make them a better Christians....
