If you can afford to have both I would recommend getting both. Also if you can find it on sale I would recommend buying Allen Kahn's speed bag bible. He has a lot of good tips on how to put up a speed bag and the pros and conns of buying different ones. He also has hundreds of techniques to use them.
Both bags are good for timing. The smaller the bags you get the faster they will move. The smaller bags move faster.
Three places to check are

The double end bag will help develop your head movement and footwork better while either bag will develop your hand-eye coordination and timing while the speed bag also helps teach you to keep your hands up. So I would say both really. I have no particular recommendations except to shop and catch something on sale and you may want to try some of the boxing equipment companies like Everlast or Ringside along with some of the martial arts equipment companies to get the best value for your money.

well first off i don't think that you need a heavy bag and a muay Thai bag but as for your question i would get both, the double end bag helps with movement and hand eye coordination while the speed bag helps you with speed these are things you need for boxing/mma

as for finding a stand try title.com or even everlast.com but i would start with title.com first
