HELP!.. How do you know if a guy likes you?

Question

we sit right next to eachother, we don't realy chat, but we laugh at eachothers jokes only when it is said to other people in general
he mirros my actions, e.g. when i click my pen he does, when i put my pen in my mouth he does, and i've seen this happen quite alot, but i don't think he realises that he's doing it.
we went to a party of a mutual friend, got drunk and danced togethar for about a minute
but we've gone back to not talking at all, just the way it was , as if nothing had happened.
i went to a girls school for 5 years and now i'm in college, but i have no confidence when it comes to talking to boys :S
how can i break free from this cycle of events..
and am i looking too much into it, maybe he doesnt like me at all?!

GIRL, i think he likes u!!!congrats, even though u dont chat a lot, he might be shy, same w/me, but we have gotten to know each other, and u guys will too!!!!:) and here are some signs he likes u:

glances @ u every few seconds
smiles @ u a LOT
hugs u
helps u out
walks w/u

maybe this maybe that, maybe ask him to go to a cafe and drink some tea and talk, because you haven't talked yet.
