Laughing!
Not a sin, but definitely a good time - maybe with some repercussions!
Lighten up people - it is New Years Eve!

rather the slothful servant who was lazy and drunken while the master was gone....
not giving a full day of work...
stealing of time $ from the employer...
the employer trusted the employee...false trust....
drinking alcohol during the work day....poor performance and set a bad example for other employees....
the family or significant other who has faith that you are at work doing a good job...
I would think you would owe some one a big apology...

By having two drinks..you may endanger others if you drive or are walking back to work. A. You could crash and cause terrible damage to someone elses life ..which none of us has the right to do, or you may walk into the path of an oncoming vehicle causing others and yourself terrible harm. B. You may go back to work after the two drinks and cause a problem which could lose a few people theirjobs which could mean some children might go hungry or lose their home.. C. You could cause the entire company to go under because your cognitive processes were so undermined by alcohol that you failed to put things in the right order.. or failed to do whatever keeps things going properly D. etc .
best to avoid alcohol during lunch... and if the employer does not seem to mind the two hours he may also be thinking with growing unrest that your work ethic is the suckiest in the office .. and that perhaps you might not be the employee most needed there and that by being away.. fewer people may suffer... and you might end up losing your job anyway. Just because.

A SIN? Why would you be concern on sinning?
answer: would you care if one of your workers took a two hour lunch and came back to work having achol on their breathe?
Do you deal with customers in your business, do u deal with the public, are you constantly dealing with others verbally face to face? all these questions depend on your decision if you care!!
but at the end of the day it's a matter of responsibility on your part, do u really need 2 hrs for lunch and do u really need 2 have some drinks at lunch time???
Rizzo hope this helps

I doubt that it's a sin (depending on your particular religion) but it is certainly irresponsible (no offence). The whole driving back to work thing isn't at all a good idea; drinking and driving never is. There is a time and a place for everything and the middle of the work day isn't the time to have a couple of drinks.

When I worked in a warehouse my boss and I would eat seafood on Fridays and drink as many martinis as we could in an hour and a half. He got fired later and I regret that.

Let me pose a question to you....What if you were an employer.....would you condone your employee to take a 2 hour lunch and have a couple of drinks and then come back to do a job for you that you pay them for?
