My bro did his Junior Cert this year and got all Bs and 2 As in all honours subjects (bar Irish... he did ordinary) so I have to try and get the same.

I probably shouldn't tell you this, but the Junior Cert really doesn't matter. They'll tell you that the 1st day back at school in September, after you've completed them. So don't get yourself too stressed out about them.

Still, you still have time to study. Go through past papers and make notes of the most commonly used subject matters. Go to your text books and underline all the important points. Learn these. A good tip is to make a voice recording of yourself reading these points out, and play it back continuously. You'll absorb more than you'd expect.

Please try not to panic. You'll do fine!

Firstly, no matter what your brother got, you do not have to get the same, or better or worse. You should just try your best. People are different.

Re the Junior - listen in class and do your homework well.

The Junior Cert. exam is designed for as many people as possible to pass. It is a very different ball game at Leaving Cert. so do not take your JC results as any real indicator of how you will do at Leaving.

Relax! Junior cert means nothing, you'll forget your results within 6wks.
Just start studying now, there no other easy way, but dont stress yourself out over nothing.

You dont have to try and get the same as your brother thats stupid. You are two differant people. Dont waste your time worrying, just have a cool head about it. Its just a practise for the leaving cert.

Def don't stress as my first day into 5th year teachers told us to forget the JC it was nothing you have a new clean slate now
It pissed us off a little!
So basically the JC is important right now but it won't always be

For the studying I cant really tell you much more then everyone else will tell you which is to try anyway and if you pay attention in class less time will be needed to study =)
Maybe take grinds if you really need them as they can help a lot

Oh and a tip the mocks will be more likely then not a lot harder then the real thing so don't get disheartened if you don't get what you want in them

Really do not worry. They are most definetly not what they are cracked up to be! I am in transition year now and did my exam last year. I was getting worried before the real exams(not the mocks) a few days before them as i had done no revision at all(i was too busy with my social life) but i always paid attention in class. When i sat down to the exam i found them much easier then i could believe. Anyway even if you do bad no one will care as they are not that important at all. Just learn that for the important one (the Leaving). Remember to study for it. That is what the JC is preparing you for. I did honours in everything as well and got 5As 4Bs and a C. Also if you decide to start studying now then you have plenty of time. Also the mocks will show you what you have to prepare for. I found the mocks harder then the real thing! I got a D in science in the mocks and then a B in the real thing. For English it was a C to an A!

Basically i am telling you to spend less time worrying and pay more attention and go out more with your friends. Being a teenager is about having fun not worrying and studying! Have fun!!!

Just study study study, I would recommend grinds. If you cannot study at school, your school might have supervised study for around 2 hours.

You'll be fine. Have you done your homework pretty diligently all the way through? Then you'll be fine. Just pick up a book and open it and start reading it. At this stage it should be just revision.
