after being sexually abused..... sex is not important to me, in fact sex is harmful to my mental health. It only triggers flashbacks. And I am so sick of people saying get over it. You don't just get over it. I have been working with therapist for over 10 years now, and yet hit the topic because I am too ashamed of it and fear to talk about it too much, fearing more flashbacks and the fear..... Comments about a day without sex is life with out sunshine.... well the world isn't always sunshine. there are rainy days and snowy days when the sun doesn't shine.
men and women think differently about sex...... most men can have sex with out having feeling involved, many (yes I said many not all) women have emotions involved when they have sex.

no it is not. It helps and makes you feel better but you are not a reject or something just for not wanting or pursuing sex. Also many people prefer to live a clean life. As innocence is perfection. But sex or no sex is your choice and anyone can live perfectly happy with or without it unless the person obseses over it.

There's an old saying for married people. "if your sex life is wonderful, that part of life only accounts for 10% of your happy marriage. However if your sex life is bad, that part of life accounts for 90% of your unhappy marriage" Good Luck

It depends on where sex is in your priorities...if you are craving and denying yourself... well, that could present problems... If you don't need it and don't want it, then it shouldn't matter to you... it's an individual thing, like anything else in mental health... it's more of a behavioral health issue anyway...
