First when I wake up I cleanse, tone, and moisterize and if needed an acne spot treatment. At night I don't know if it would be okay to use an exfoliator, it says on the directions recommened daily, but would it be to much for my face. I can break out very easily. Thanks

I use an exfoliante everyday because I have dry skin that peels so I need something to get rid of that so I'm not walking around looking like a mummy all day long. I have one from St. Ives and it can be used daily. It all depends on your skin, if it's sensitive then you may want to only do it once or twice a week.

As for your morning routine...it sounds fine but it's better to put acne cream on before you moisturize, otherwise you're clogging your pores with lotion and then sealing them over with an acne cream.

People with dry skin only need to wash once a day. People with oily skin need to do it more often because they produce more oil and their pores are generally larger.

And for the girl that said not to wash in the morning because you won't have any makeup left on your face...um...You shouldn't be waking up with makeup still left on your face from the night before! That's horrible for your skin, clogs your pores and causes more acne! Washing your face in the morning is perfectly fine.

If you find using a cleanser twice a day is too much then only use it in the evening. Try using Dove Beauty Bar soap in the morning. It's gentle enough for all face types, leaves your skin soft and cleanses really well.

Your cleansing routine sounds perfectly fine. If you find exfoliating every night is too harsh than cut back. I've used the most expensive exfoliates on the market and I've found plain baking soda to be the best. My skin is smoother than the expensive ones. I mix a little with my cleanser and gently massage into my skin. You should always use sunscreen daily and a glycolic acid, such as Alpha Hydrox, or salicylic acid to exfoliate as well. I'm 40 and I don't have any wrinkles, age spots, or discolorations on my skin. Good luck. 2D

Ya it's okay to use an exfoliator everyday, but if it burns or causes any pain it could be too much, it really depends on how your skin is reacting, just make sure you are moisturizing, drying your skin out can cause breakouts too.

If you are prone to break outs then i would reccommend that you use the exfoliator- if thats how you spell it? Every other day because if you use to many different oils on your skin it can unbalnce its natural oils making you break out even more. I hope it helps!
