My mom said maybe I should become a buhhdist, but my dad and whole family's agianst it, and I don't even know if I would even be considered Buhhdist, can someone help me please?

I'm impressed that you're so aware of what your beliefs are, and that you're attempting to refine them. My best advice is to continue meditating, which is a form of prayer, and continue researching different faiths. You seem to have a leaning towards Buddhism, so you might want to check out if there are any Buddhist Monastaries near where you live. When I was in high school humanities, we visited a Buddhist Monastary and spent an entire day there talking with the monks and learning about Buddhism. It was interesting and fun, and an excellent learning experience. I'm fairly certain it was in New York, not far from Woodstock.
EDIT: Your mother sounds very supportive and open-minded. In this instance, do not worry about your father or his side of the family and what they believe of your choices in whatever spiritual path you choose. You have to choose what works for YOU, not to please someone else.

finally, there is not any could desire to "pick a factor". in case you have faith in faith, it is super. To be honest we don't in all probability pick what we've faith in the 1st place. conversing as an atheist, i discover technology powerfully illuminating and astounding in its revelatory capability. even nonetheless, by using technology we will additionally see what an ideas-blowing and stunning universe we live in. some see this awesomeness as information of god in one style or yet another, that's unquestionably as much as them, even nonetheless it is plenty from necessary to disclaim the capability and advantages of technology to accomplish that.

do not believe in religion. I do believe in God and that he gave us the one religion which enhances all of our learning right from wrong here on the earth. It is to visit with widows and orphans during the time of their affliction and to keep ourselves undefiled by the world ( temptation and sin as defined by Him ).
Just keep studying scriptures and doing only good things for others.

Ignore that first ignorant guy who said to stop meditating and start praying - they obviously have 0 idea of what they are talking about.
You sounded Buddhist, for the most part, but Buddhist generally do not believe in God, per se. They believe in God like existence but they are subject to death, as well, nor are they considered creators.
Not sure why your father is against it but I would imagine it is our of cheer ignorance or "Fear" considering most religions revolve around Dogma.
I suggest checking out some Buddhist stuff. By the way, for those who think this is "limiting" her, it actually is not. Buddhism is highly open minded, much more so then Atheism. It has to be or else the idea of "open minded" and "non-attachment" (to beliefs) could not be explored.

I recommend that you find out about Buddhism. Very peace loving religion. But you really don't need a religion to be a good person.

I say stop worrying about identifying yourself within the limited context of a particular religion. Embrace your personal spirituality, and forget about any external labels; you don't need them. People do not need to belong to a religion.
Keep your open mind and apply your personal morals and spirituality to the situations you encounter in your life. If you can get past the need to identify yourself as a follower of a certain religion (or any group, for that matter), you'll be much better off.

May your studies take you where you want to go.
I've studied a number of Ancient Religions and new ones too. The more I study, the more I realize that I can be a Spiritual person without having someone to "tell me" what they think is "right".

Before you commit yourself, you should study scripture, and find out what it really teaches. There are a lot of good bible studies. You might try the "amazing facts" series.
