I'm usually extremely busy with work during the day and evenings I spend it at the gym then relaxing at home. My girlfriend calls all the time but I don't usually pick up because I know it'll be a long conversation. However, I do take notice that she calls so every night before I sleep, I call her and talk to her for a good 1-2 hours. Our conversation usually ends with me drifting off to sleep and she would know to hang up when she hears my snoring over the phone. Strangely enough she finds this adorable and I tell her "hey I just want to hear your voice before I sleep". But I hear that some women would actually be offended if their b/f fell asleep on the phone with them. But at least we talk for a good long while before I drift off. I do this everyday. Would you be offended in my situation?

Hey! I take care of my girl every other day she comes over and I make her dinner. If she wants to come over, I cancel my plans in a heart beat. She has a life of her own she's not counting the minutes of my life.

No, not at all since this is a routine for your friend to call and she is used to you falling asleep of course shes not offended. She knows that you are tired after a long day. She understands that shes not just boring you to death!
Afterall what are the chances your b/f would be someone that bores you to sleep EVERY night...wouldn't you just stop calling!(Its great that you have a friend that can talk you to sleep:) )

My boyfriend falls asleep on the phone all the time lol. Well, We already were talking for a long amount of hours, I just let him get his energy back up until tomorrow, no big deal to me! But if you were talking for let's say 10-15 min and you just fell asleep, I would be a little offended. You need to spend time with this girl, this is why she talks to you every day and night, she has no other way of contact.

It's only a humiliating gesture if you perceive it that way. Okay, different perspective: I ordered my favorite cologne online and a piece of jewelry came with it. It's not really my style. It seemed a shame to just get rid of it, so thought maybe my DIL might like it. Seemed things have been kind of strained between us, maybe I can mend some fences with this little gesture. So at supper I thought to give my DIL the jewelry. I knew it wasn't much, it was just a bit of costume jewelry. But when I gave it to her, she seemed put off by it. She kind of pushed it aside, and didn't really even say a proper thank you. It was as if I'd insulted her. I instantly felt bad about the awkward moment, so I tried to quickly explain that I certainly knew it wasn't much, I'd gotten it for nothing. I tried to tell her I wanted her to have it, rather than to throw it away. It was a gesture, after all. A gift is a gift. For myself, when anyone thinks enough of me to give me anything, I show my appreciation. Seriously, if the gift is inexpensive or unattractive, you feel insulted and humiliated? Wow. Apparently gracious receiving is a lost art.

From a man's point of view...grow some balls and let her know to call you during a more appropriate time. Secondly, if you drift off into a comma type of sleep, you have some serious issues. What guy would fall a sleep when you have a beautiful woman on the phone?! In any event, Happy New Year.

Yes. First I would be offended if you didn't answer my calls during the day. And I think you're just trying to make up for it at night. Better start paying more attention to your girl or someone else will.

Not if I knew you were going to do it each time. I might be offended the first time but once I realized that it is just something you do and I got used to it, I wouldn't find it to be a big deal.

I wouldn't be offended... nor would I be swing from your hairs (if you know what I mean) your girl sounds alittle clingy and insecure.....

I know my sweetie works long and hard hours... I know when he comes home, the last thing he wants is to hear me go on and on about something tedious and exhausting.... I would not keep him on the phone until he falls asleep... that sounds like high school... let me re-phrase... middle school stuff.

Hahaha, yes I would be offended. I mean, I'd think that my story isn't interesting. But your girlfriend seems like a bit of a pain in the *** for you. If you don't like talking to her, why are you dating her?

Well, it depends. If my boyfriend was in your situation and called me before he went to bed just to hear my voice, then I'd be flattered and happy. However, if it was like afternoon and I was venting to him or something and he fell asleep, then I'd be pretty angry unless he had a good reason.
