In november my ex of 2 years told me she just didnt love me anymore and that shed been faking our relationship. As time went on we just kept arguing and gradually now shes been saying that it wasnt that she didnt love me but that she needed to figure herself out. Ever since we graduated college in May i could tell something was wrong but she never told me until now that we're seperated. Whenever i try to telling her we need time apart so we can be true friends again, she always tells me something like oh ive been thinking about getting back together and i stilll have all these feelings for you. I feel like she either means it or just doesnt want me to move on. And i'm just getting tired of all this talk im not sure if shes just toying with me or she means it. Has anybody really need a break because they didnt feel independent, or do you think shes just doing all of this to keep me at her side until she can finally move on? Maybe she wants to keep you around until 'someone better' comes along. For your own peace of mind, make a clean break.

Hate to say it, but sounds like the later. It also sounds like she doesn't respect very much either. You sound like you have your stuff together. She might be keeping you as a back-up. She wants to string you along so you don't move on, while she looks for someone else, finds herself, or whatever it is she's looking for. Once that happens, she'll cut you loose

you need to tell her that you want either friendship/relationship no more games put your foot down tell she cant have it both ways and the game playing is ove rit sound slike she does not want you but does not want you to move on and anyone who cared about you would want you to be happy

What do *you* want? Yes, you can consider her feelings, but in the end, are you going to concede to being miserable for her?
Think about it. If *you're* not happy, get out before you waste anymore of her time and yours.

There are people that need to get their head straight, my X is one of them. She is or was doing the same thing to me. I decided that, yes I did and still am in love with her but, I cannot and will not take her inability to make a decision on her on. She has to have someone else make ALL her decisions for her. She cannot live her own life without some else helping her. To save your own sanity, move on the best you can.

It's clear that she doesn't know what she wants and is very insecure, she is playing silly games and is using as a back up in case she can't find anyone else to put up with her bullsh*t. Never compromise yourself for anyone, if she won't put you first, then she really isn't worth worrying about, if she truly wanted to be with you, she would make you her first choice and be with you right now! Don't entertain these games she is playing because it will only drag you into her web of deception and confusion. Stand up for yourself and tell her outright! You will only end up being even more hurt and confused

she obviously has some sort of hold on you. Change your phone numbers, move out of your apartment, your close and reopen a new e-mail and do not give these new contacts to anyone she remotely knows for 3 months. These types of chicks are like luggage, they will never leave you unless you throw it out and go buy new luggage.
Then go date a lot of women...... get out and meet people..

She is stringing you along, all the while, she is looking for something better. It is easier for her to look for a boyfriend while she has you in the background (similar to the way it is easier to look for a new job while you have one).
You deserve better. If she were honest and upfront about how she felt, then you would either be 1) together or 2) 100% broken up. Move on from her and find someone who isn't playing games.

Start dating other females. In time you will forget about her. Why even waist your energy on trying to figure this out? It is not worth your time any longer. Live your life to the fullest. Enjoy, good luck and happy new year. Dude, make 2008 your year and forget about ex's!
