Some dogs have this problem if they are fed only in the morning, or early in the day. Try giving him two meals, one in the evening, or at least a couple of cookies before bed and see if that helps.

I have a ****-Tzu and she actually does the same thing. I took her to the vet for a complete examination. She is healthy except the fact that she vomits yellow bile. The vet recommended that I change her diet. Some dog food is too rich for their system. I am feeding her ProPac, which she has been on since she was a pup. The vet had me try a diet food, but she wouldn't eat it. So she continues to eat her ProPac and she continues to vomit occassionally. I was assured it was nothing to worry about :)

Some dogs will vomit yellow bile if their stomach has been empty too long. You might try giving your dog its dinner later in the day, and make sure you are feeding twice a day and not simply once a day.

Make an apt with your vet. Bile indicates a liver problem. Probably not too serious if caught early, otherwise it could get much worse (and expensive)
As for Jessy S....this is the pet section. By definition they can be pretty disgusting...so get a grip or a hobby, troll. It was a perfectly reasonable question.

I would have a fecal exam done to rule out worms. Also the benifit from a high quality food is sorely missed alot but dog owners. Grain free foods are best like Innova EVO or Taste of the Wild. There are several others that are good and grain free. Here is a link about dog foods http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/index.php/cat/1

My dog was going through the same thing just two weeks ago. I took him to his vet, which I advise you to do, and the vet said it was probably something he ate. It happens a lot to dogs that eat a lot of table scraps...they're given something they shouldn't eat and they get sick. Ham is very bad for them.
Anyways, the vet gave me some medicine to give my dog ever 12 hours and within a day the vomiting stopped and he was doing great.

Allergies is a good bet. The post nasal drip thing. Being a short nosed breed this is not uncommon.
Have your pet examined by your veterinarian to see if anything else is going on or if there is some treatment you can do. Sometimes a humidifier can help or placing him in a bathroom that's steamed up. This helps loosen up things a little better.
Good luck

Does he do this before he's eaten breakfast? This is pretty common in dogs who are hungry, especially if they're under a year old. If he only does this before breakfast, I'd make sure he eats a good dinner, maybe he needs to eat dinner a little bit later in the day, and give him a snack before bed. This can be related to blood sugar drops, which is why it only happens before he eats. If you try this, and he's still doing it, you might want to talk to your vet, but I wouldn't be too worried.

I had a similar problem with a Jack Russell. The problem was solved by smaller and more frequent feeding. It seems that she is more sensitive to stomach acid.
This could be a sympton of pancreitis so you may want to have his blood work done to validate.

My golden does that once in a while. Maybe your pug ate something outside and is trying to get rid of it.
I am not sure, but would like to know the answer to that one as well.
