Worth of education into a single reply and you get told that you "didn't answer the question and are just being rude"?

How is explaining that a person's question is a major feild of study that requires a few hundred credit-hours to really understand "rude"?

I guess from now on I'm just going to list text books in reply to those broad and ambiguous questions.

Actually, my question never posted. You guys can see it because you're in my contacts. But I tried to post it during that 5 minute period of lag, so it never showed up on the main board.

Which means it missed it's target audience, the people who are examples of my question.

so many questions deserve a rude response that it's hard to remember which is which. but, i suspect that listing textbooks would be considered more insulting, since it implies that you would expect them to learn something.

yes, though the definition of being rude seems to be 'disagreeing'. It's hard not to sound abrupt by just writing afew sentances too.
don't you also enjoy how proper questions like this don't seem to get any answers either. Perhaps the system isn't quite working, I dunno.
