I go ice skating with my friends about 1 or 2 times a week. Two of my friends have ice skates of their own. Should i get them? The cost of rental ice skates are 6$ i think.

If you skate that often then it is probably worth investing in some decent skates for yourself. I would make sure that you properly fit your skates, and that you get a decent pair, I would suggest talking to your local pro shop so you can get a good pair of skates! Good luck!

i think that if you are commeted to skating then yes!!! It shoudl help with money and you with the heck of blisters if you get any.
6$ is alot for rental. you can get a chep pair of skates at ***** Sporting Goods just for fun for right now. but do lessons then get a hight level of skates later on in the future.

We'll if you enjoy ice skating and you go once or twice a week then yes. When you have your own skates they tend to be more comfortable and the you don't have to think of all the other random people who have worn those rental skates before you. Also if you buy skates just for fun, then they will not cost that much, like $50. Look at http://www.riedellskates.com/, they have some basic recreational skates that are reasonably priced.

Ice skating is a sport of your friends only if you cant afford its expenses.
