I would be interested in hearing accounts of peoples battle with brainstem tumours. There doesn't appear to be many stories around . My husband died of this last week.

I know (not presonally though) of someone with a brain stem giloma. These are very hard to treat as they are inoperable and have a poor response to chemotherapy. Radiation usually can help for a little while but will not cure.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. My younger brother died of a cancerous abdominal tumor 4 weeks ago. I haven't known anyone with brainstem cancer. I haven't found any stories about my brother's type of cancer, either. Doctors don't even know what kind he had, only that he had a huge inoperable cancerous tumor that was squishing all his internal organs and chemotherapy didn't help shrink it at all.
