My father had a three massive heart attacks before we could get him to go to the hospital. He had to have a quad-drupple bypass and almost died.
Who else is going to be there for me when they are gone? They always come charging to the rescue. I am greatful both of mine are still alive and I don't think you realize that till thier almost gone.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too!

Hm.. That's not so hard. When my best friend's mother died in an accident. First I didn't get along so well with my parents first. But three moths ago, when my best friend's mother was in a car accidant, then you actually notice how important parents are for u. Imagine living with out them...
But now I don't know how to help or cheer up my best friend..
I also always feel guilty for little things.. Like having fights with my mom, or having to call my mom if I'm going to my friend's. She always looks so sad then.

As an adult, I have come across so many children that don't have what I had: A house we owned, a yard, a neighborhood to play in, lots of food, HEAT, presents on holidays, lots of relatives around. We did a lot of things, so I experienced a lot, although travel wasn't one. But we went swimming, out on boats, ice skating, to Radio City Music Hall, cookouts, amusement parks, fairs, the ocean.

Also, we learned manners, respect for other people & their belongings.

I was lucky in a lot of respects. I feel for so many of the children I see.
