No, BUT I do know someone who tried what was considered an "old wives" tale and it worked for him.
Just before bedtime, he had 8 oz of orange juice. He had added 1 teaspoon of cream of tartar to it and drank it for 2 months. He said his cravings got less and less and by the time he was at the end of the first month, he was down from 1 pack a day to 4 cigarettes for the day. He continued for another month had said he stopped altogether. He had not smoked since 1992. Give it a try, it might work. I know that Chantix is new to the market so its long term track record is not well known. I do know that short term the side effects are a bit*ch
Good luck in your effort to quit. I know it is hard. I quit cold turkey 4 and 1/2 years ago and don't miss it. I only smoked for a year though after my Mom died suddenly

I've watched two people use them for extended periods of time with no such luck. Be ready for hard work if you start, Chantix is an aid, not a cure.

Darlin...I quit for five years...cold turkey. No weight gain, tiger nerves, nothin...just looked at the cigarette I had just lit, said I don't want this! And put it out. Started again, because I wanted to...that's it...mind over matter!

Happy!!!!

Chantix is suspected to have dangerous side effects. You may be experiencing a bad reaction to it. If you want to quit,do what I did. Try to imagine that the govt. is out to kill you or make you ill. Then imagine that the way they do it ,is with cigs! Think of them as poison. Just like the poisonous cleaning stuff under your kitchen sink! You wouldn't drink any of that stuff,so why put nicotine in your mouth? Find something to do with your hands to cut down on the feeling that you need to hold a cig. Cigs are evil! They're the only product on the market, that when used as intended, will make you sick or kill you! Good luck! Think of all the money you'll save!

It took me 25 years to quit. I tried everything. Nothing worked til I just quit cold turkey. That was in 1989.

I suggest adding to your question: If you have quit smoking how long has it been & what aids did you use?
