I love watching the V8 supercar series over here (australia), Ford versus Holden. Many different tracks and trying to go international. Some sprint rounds, some endurance, including Bathurst(Mt Panorama).

What a great series. Last weekend taped race was awesome. I have been watching them for many years now. Always ***** at Speed for not showing them live or at least tape delayed. Love it, love it!!!!!
I live in Ohio and I would be the first to buy a ticket if they would come to Mid Ohio. That would be a good track for them.
Thanks for keeping it alive here in this Q and A forum that is mostly contaminated by NASCAR.

well i live in australia and i am considered one of the sports most enthusiastic supporters. I follow the sport around in my 40ft coach the "V8 SUPERBUS" and I am friendships with some drives.
yes, mt panorama is the holy grail for alot of drivers.... it means more than a championship to alot of them too, it is also definetly the best to view both on telivision and trackside.
expericencing v8 supercars not only stops at watching rounds <--races. we have multiple magazines including V8X which i a sponsered magazine by the v8's and telivision shows such as V8Xtra telecasting all highlights etc from previous rounds.
merchandise from teams can be purchased online at v8superstore.com.au or trackside for resonable pricing.
international races have been adapted to the listings of rounds each year from bahrain to nz.... they have been welcomed but not exactly embraced as much as more aussie races.
well... thats the lowdown on v8 supercars and i hope you all know..... hahahah IM ONLY 15!!!!

you can watch it over the Internet through bigpond I believe you would need to subscribe to it. I went to bathurst in 2007 to watch the supercars you dont realise how steep and how narrow mount panorama is from watching it on TV

I really like it, we just do not get to see that much of it over here in the US, Dale Jr loved it and took vacation and went down under...Wish the Aussie V8's could do a tour over here, it would be great.. Speed TV really needs to show more it, so more racing fans can see these guys run.

I've only seen it once, but it looked pretty cool. Hell even Dale Jr wants to race in the series. Besides the Ford Falcon looks a hell of a lot cooler than anything Ford sells in the US. And yeah I wish, Speed would show it more often it beats endless episodes of PInks.

It's a pretty good series. I just wish they'd show more of it over here (the US).
