Drive for show-putt for dough! 150 - 200 is not bad. You will be able to go farther soon, but I agree with others, get the right technique first. A lesson is never a bad idea, especially before you start any bad habits. If you keep it on the fairway, then you will always be able to get on the green in regulation.
try to keep htat as priority #1 -on the fairway every time, then once the distance starts coming, you'll be sitting pretty.
Have fun!

im 13 and ive been playing for about a year and a half and I drive it about 250-270. If you work on your swing distance should just come naturally. Also the point of impact is big. every inch you move forward is adding 5 yards to your distance. Long is not really important untill your keeping it in the fairway alot.

you are okay but not great. I am only 11 but I can hit 225-250. I have only been playing for about 10 months but I practice 3-4 times a week. If you already don't have lessons I highly recomend them.

Yes.
You are growing; you will get bigger and stronger.
Stay flexible and work out, you will be hitting much farther soon.

There are more important things in golf than hitting it long.
Do you hit it straight? Do you hit each of your clubs a consistent distance? Can you chip and pitch well? How often can you get up and down from a green-side bunker? How often do you three-putt a green? How well do you know the rules?
Distance will come on its own. Concentrate on the important parts of the game first.

If you want to hit the ball farther then try this....your backswing should be very slow when you get to the top just let r rip, if you want to grip the club like a baseball bat. It might not go straight but it will go. If you have the option of a larger club with a bigger sweet spot that could help with the control.

Slow down your back swing and follow through to a good finish position. The mental picture of a nice SWING MOTION will help you develop your SWING. You need a fluid SWING to generate club head speed. This gives you additional distance.

When your on the down swing, keep your wrists hinged ( like the position at the top) just until you snap it before the ball. The faster you can snap your wrists and keep them hinged the farther you'll hit it. I hope that helps! Im about 5'4 and small but i drive it very far.You sound good if you have been only playing eight months and drive it 200. Keep at it!
