Lost so much, so much, I could cry at the thought of what we have lost.

Could you please explain how believing in Christ would gain/lose knowledge? Clarify what you mean by knowledge. Are we talking spiritual or natural or both?

I don't see how knowledge is lost or gained from a religion unless there is something specifically detailed in the religion itself to prohibit learning. Now mankind has used religion (any and all including atheism) to limit mankind's access to knowledge.....but that is not the religion itself but mankind's misuse of it.

We have lost and delayed knowledge because the church only wanted its views noticed. The church wouldn't let other views evolve. Not just Christianity but other religions also. They did not promote enlightenment.

Lost. So much has been suppressed and destroyed as a result of pressure on Governments and agencies by so called christians who do not want conflicting knowledge to be made public.

Notice not that it is always christians who are against research into the fundamentals of life, reproduction, cloning and other scientific knowledge that would save lives, cure illness and heal damaged bodies. Because humans may be able to create life, they are afraid that this one act will shatter this god mything. And of course it will. Which is why they are frightened of all enlightenment that would contradict the fairy tales told in the bible.

NO! We lost what really happened when the pope and his confederates rewrote history and cut out the real parts that didn't fit their control mechanisms!!!!!! If you want a more realistic view of what really happened, you'll have to find those lost gospels and find out what really happened. Good Hunting?

The bible says in the last days, men shall go to & fro, & knowledge shall increase, & they shall never come to the knowledge of the truth.
