Depending on your state all you have to do is go to the business page of the state government website and look up the business name and search for EIN. The feds have one as well.
You can try this website as well http:www.knowx.com

It will be on your W-2. You aren't legally allowed to file until you get the W-2 anyway. And the IRS isn't accepting efiles for another two weeks - you can file on paper as of the beginning of 2008, but your refund will take longer than efiling.

It will be on your W-2. You can't file your return without the W-2 so there's no sense fretting about it at this stage of the game.
Don't waste your time looking at websites for that information; they are notoriously inaccurate. Also, many companies are comprised of various divisions and branches that sometimes have their own EIN. There's no way to sort that out without your W-2 in hand.

You should wait until next week. They will send you papers with all that info on them.

Go to your State Comptrollers website. Do a search for your company and they should have the EIN listed there. If not, do you have a W-2 from last year? If you just started ask someone who has been there for a year for the number from theirs.

Your employer should furnish this info for you. If you don't have it, just contact them and ask for it. If they have gone out of business, you might contact the county courthouse where they filed their DBA and get it there.
