Why do atheists argue with people?
Why are you disrespectful? ("calling people 'crazy")

perhaps they argue because people like YOU try to start fights by insulting them.

In this question, you are baiting and goading....name calling, etc.

That shows your immaturity.

Where are your manners?
Can you not ask in a respectful manner, or do you not know how?

that is a result of a basic insecurity in their position. The more they present arguements the more they can justify their beliefs even when it goes against all reason. there is a saying = "Misery enjoys company" For that reason they would like to convert everyone.

Of course that would eliminate the "Opposition" and there would be no threat to their erroneous, unproven, ridiculous, incredible, unbelievable beliefs.

they are already teetering and they arges to prevent reason from overwhelming the unreasonable. Irrational proposals they supposedly believe in.

Notice that Jews, Muslims, and aethiests do not do this. Only so called christians.

You are right, they do. I am a professing Christian and agree with their apologetics for the most part. However, I find myself disagreeing with the manner they apply their arguments. I do not think their beliefs are crazy just poorly presented. Many times they turn me off also because they get hung up just on one issue and refuse to debate or consider another point of view.

If you notice from the Bible there was never an occasion that Jesus was arguing with non believers. , or in fact , anyone for that matter.

Rather this was his teaching method.

Matthew 13:34 ". . .All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds by illustrations. Indeed, without an illustration he would not speak to them. . ."

Mark 4:33-34 ". . .So with many illustrations of that sort he would speak the word to them, as far as they were able to listen. Indeed, without an illustration he would not speak to them, but privately to his disciples he would explain all things."

By using illustrations it would promote deep thought on the subject in question and help followers discern what was in fact , truth.

Religious (or atheist) people that argue or talk in riddles do not follow this proven teaching method.
It in facts exposes their alienation from true worship.

because they are 'mental' (taken from the word). Their brains can't work if they don't have someone telling them what to say and do...they can't feel or think for themselves....
I don't have a clue..but if we don't make a biggy out of it..they will stop.
If you argue ...its like pouring gas on a fire...so...let's not..

Because they haven't learned to love them.

Odd that, when you think of the book they claim to use.

And who are the fundamentalists arguing with? I think they are really arguing with themselves, trying to prove a religion that is not sensible--G-d/Jesus the same? When others do not accept it, they can understand why, and they are fighting to continue their own beliefs., in spite of it all.

Trying and arguing as they may there are some foolish people that cannot be saved from hell.
Thumbs up to fundamentalists for trying to help the "lost".

Fundamentalists are people, not my type, but still people.
They have their ideas, which look bizarre to many of us, but not so long ago the ideas I have looked bizarre to most people, who were fundamentalists most of them.
These fundamentalists still cling to their past "glory"
