It is disobedience.

if sin werent wrong, then it would no longer be sin.

The things that are called sin are wrong because it causes problems.

sin causes problems

the wages of sin is death.

there is sickness, war and death because of sin. If sin hadnt entered in, there would be no sickness, war or death.

premarital sex is a sin, what happens. you are exposed to who know what and how many diseases and infections by having sex with someone who has had sex with who knows who and how many.

if you stay away from premarital sex, it saves you the chances of many diseases.

lying is a sin, what does it cause? People no longer trust what you say when you tell them something. Remember the boy who cried wolf. If you want people to trust you, tell the truth.

Murder is a sin. What does it cause? Loss of life. Pain in the ripple effect to those outward of the person murdered. It causes suspicions and pointing fingers.

adultery is a sin. What does it cause? If your spouse has an illicit encounter, if you find out, you could become very jealous, they probably lied about it, and now you want to murder someone, and you hope you didnt get any diseases.

Hope this helps you figure it out.

Aside from the what the Bible says..........

Most sin cause you or someone harm in some form or another.
Obviously stealing cause the other person harm

Promicuous sex spreads disease, cause unwanted babies or worse, killing of babies thru abortion, financial hardships, damage to reputation.

Even something as small as gossip hurts others....
There are far to many to list here, but hopefully you get the gist of what I'm saying

You have a good New Year

Maybe its our concious that tells us what is right and wrong. the concious knows the difference between right and wrong, and if its wrong then it MUST be a sin (because thats what the bible says).

However if you are raised being told that doing something is ok to do, and when you grow up, someone else tells you that that thing is wrong, and a sin, you dont feel guilty because your concious says its ok to do because thats how you were raised.

The great majority of sins are "wrong" (in my opinion) because they do harm to someone, either the sinner him/herself, or to another person(s). I am Jewish, and I know that some of the Levitcal laws are not written this way, to be sure, and I can understand and can agree with some who say a "victimless" sin is no sin at all. However, I am likewise a person who sees that my basic beliefs in right and wrong are at least shaped by those laws that relate to the possibility of a victim, and thus guide me when I am in situations not directly addressed by the Torah.

Sin is wrong because it is the cause and the result of every evil in the universe.

Think of how much our sins hurt and damage other people. Sins do so much harm to children. Check out things like alcholism, drugs, theft, divorce, driving like idiots, cursing one another, racist remarks, on and on to infinity. Then there is the damage to our relationship with Jesus Christ. Sad, isn't it.

well the knowledge that something is wrong brings us sin. If you do something you know to be wrong then you have the prior knowledge and free will to choose to be sinful. I know there is going to be the comment that we could just plead ignorance and be as sinful as we like right? No, althoough we may effect our fellow man the whole thing rests on our shoulders.

It is wrong because it is in effect saying that we are smarter than GOD. Through disobedience we are in effect saying to GOD that HE is wrong and the sin is ok. That is raising ourselves up above GOD and that is wrong.

Because God is without sin therefore one with sin cannot be with him. That's why we all need a Savior because there are none without sin.
I have been thinking of God and Jesus, How God the Father can't be with sin. Yet his Son Jesus went to the sinners not to condemn them for even the Pharisees questioned Jesus for being with the sinners and told them that the healthy have no need of him but the sick did.

Almighty YHVH is pure. He invites us to a marriage contract. Take His name, follow His rules, you become His "bride" and He will save you in the end. If you choose to become impure you violate the marriage contract with Him.
