Good question. Deep down i think it depends on what the individual thinks. The're thoughts are effected by family, friends,life experiance ect.. so chances are that a person that had a bad life doesnt believe in God, because they would want to believe God can give them more.

Im not sure how to answer fully, because its basically your decision, how you make that decision is also up to you!

My belief in God is based on reason and logic. It's called DEISM.

It only makes sense to put your faith in the scientific mind that created us even if you cannot see Him, Them, It or what ever God is than our inferior human scientists who because they cannot see or understand Him, Them or It claim God doesn't exist.

Belief in god is blind faith, if logic of truth is not understood...
One who understands the logic of eternal truth has validated his logic and thereby gained..For him words like belief and faith has no relevance after that....

i know of no,( respectable and verifiable), philosphical or scientific argument that can support the biblical god, or any god of the revealed religions. so any claim of belief can only be based on blind faith.
