Ok so i liked this guy and all..and i told him that i did...and for the last few weeks at school (he was a senior) he was really interested in me...heavy flirting....talking more...even this girl that had no idea i liked him coz no one does...reckoned he like me...then a few days back...i asked him if he like me...and he said that i was an awesome girl...that i always have a smile on my face and that i don't care what anybody says..but he just doesn't like me in that way...he reckons he's too old for me..but i know that he does date girls my age...he's 18 and i'm 15...what happened? and now how do i let him go?

he sounds like a player aka jerk.
when he says he doesnt like you in that way he's hinting that he's showing brotherly love to you or something.
but then again, he was heavily flirting with you(unless you got the wrong hints from him).
either way, you're not going to be with him so you just have to let him go.
you're just 15. there's still a long way of heartbreaks waiting for you before you can find your true love. sounds harsh, but it's true.

he saw something in you which may not fit his preferences. you said you liked him, he tried if possibilities when he flirted with you, he sorted out some things that may not work out with thjese encounters with you and after assessment he says he is not interested. you are lucky he told you off this early before anything serious could happen, at least on your side of the story. some guys would avail of such opportunity, get in to your skirts, suck you dry of everything and dump you in the end. think of this fact and you would be over him.

WHY DOES EVERYONE ASSUME HE IS A PLAYER!!?!?!?!?!?maybe he was being nice or complimenting her maybe she took it the wrong way! players are guys/girls who want sex.then ditch the guy/girl then move on to the next if anything all that he did was bruise her ego.

What happened was he was flattered at the idea of you liking him, and even contemplated liking you back but, in the end, decided not to pursue you. Whatever lame excuse he gave, the bottom line is, he's just not that into you. You can't and won't continue to hold on to anyone who's not hanging on too. Unless you're a stalker, and don't be a stalker because it's not cute. So, in due time, you will get over him. And that won't be long, trust me. As soon as someone different catches your eye :) To pursue him, at this point, will be playing yourself.
