They lick themselves to get clean and don't want hair in their throat.

They have fur stuck in their throat. They have to spit it out because they have to eat threw there throat.

It sounds like u need to give your cat a product called Cat-lax or put parrafin on its food to help it go straight through instead of vomiting them up.
There is also Hairball food specially formulated to help the system digest hairballs.

Their stomachs can't digest the hair they eat when cleaning themselves or other cats. So they throw up hairballs. Give the cat a hairball treat or food to help prevent and treat this.
