Is it possible to evolve back into one? Is it possible that the apes that exist now are just people like us who evolved back into one?
What if one day, we will evolve into nothing? If turning back into an ape is all that I have to look forward to, then I am glad that believe in God.

What does my age matter? My point is, SCIENCE changes everyday, so its possible that we could one day turn back into apes, SCIENTIFICALLY SPEAKING, of course.

My apologies, I guess this question reflects my disinterest in this "Science" that everyone bases their theories "God doesn't exist" on.
So, is it possible that one day we will become Super Apes? LOL

Actually, as a little girl, I was VERY fascinated with Science, that is of course, until I found Jesus. Then I became interested in learning about Him and that Science is a big book of complex answers why the Universe was so, but God simply puts it like this,
In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth. Genesis 1:1

First of all, we would have had to evolve from apes.
While I've noticed some highly educated people messing with you and telling you it is possible, evolution theory states apes and humans have a common ancestor, not that we evolved from them.
It is anthropologists that wish to find the link between human and apes(the common ancestor) in fossil record, Which go much farther back than creationists idea of the 6,000 year old Earth, and once in a while pop up a hoax suggesting humans evolved from apes.
To answer your question, it is highly unlikely to evolve back into that common ancestor, tot he point of being impossible. But if you know anything about life, nothing is really impossible.
To evolve back into a common ancestor, all the genetic changes; including mutations, displacements and all recombination events would have to flow backwards. This means the Earth shattering event that lead to survival or extinction of certain genes would have to occur in reverse. Not likely that plagues and what-not are going to resurrect entire populations they wiped off the planet etc.
Not that it is impossible, but highly unlikely.
Think of it this way.... mess up a Rubik's Cube until it would take you a million moves to fix it. now set it on the ground and let it fix itself. Will it reorient itself where all the sides are the same color? maybe after riding through a few million earth shattering earthquakes, it may.
Just to point something out, every time a child is born, that child has evolved from their parental lineage. Since they acquire a portion of their genes from each parent, they aren't exactly the same as each parent. What do you think happens over thousands of generations of this occuring? THIS is evolution!
Also, I don't see anywhere in the Bible or any other book, where Jesus said you have to deny sceintific theory to get into Heaven. Only be good to your fellow man, which many people who deny science seem to also have a problem doing.
Your immune system evolves throughout your entire life, and so do the pathogens trying to invade your body. This is a faster more visible evolution, because the generation rates of individual cells are much faster than that of humans, so it is much more visible.

evolution is about being best adapted to survive long enough to procreate
if being more ape like was more likely to help you procreate than not being ape like then yes eventually we would "go back". Do you see that happening?
we couldn't evolve into nothing though. That's just silly. Cover yourself girl your ignorance is showing!

No. No. NO. As you have stated.......Genesis 1.....it gets more specific. Evolution is prohibited by the Bible:
Gen 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind: and it was so.
Gen 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after its kind, and the cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the ground after its kind: and God saw that it was good.
I am a Bible Thumping Fundamentalist Christian who has no problem with science, I believe the earth is round, it is the 3rd planet from our Sun in our Solar System, light from the sun takes about 8 minutes to get to the earth, gravity applies to everyone, etc. Just don't try to cram evolution at me and call it "science"---evolution is a religion; it is the religion of Humanism, and it is the Original Lie, revisited. If evolution were true, then there is no God and morality is relative. This was tried in the Bible.....Jdg 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
In fact, since the laws of physics were created by God, it was no big deal at all for him to walk on water, command the weather, feed 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fishes.....the more you know of science, the more evidence of creation you see:

I think it would be fantastic to visit the Creation Museum.

Yes, it is possible, however it is exceedingly unlikely.
It is possible to calculate all the sequences of mutations that transforms one set of DNA into a target set of DNA. If you chose a sequence with the fewest mutations, that's called "Maximum parsimony".
Then just wait around for those mutations to occur while eliminating any "extra" mutations and you're done. (Although it could take a few million years, probably longer since you're waiting for specific mutations to occur.)

you have a tray with 'Happy Birthday' spelled out in hundreds-and-thousands on it.
you toss the hundreds-and-thousands into the air.
when they land again, do they still spell 'Happy Birthday'?
this is how evolution works.
for people to evolve 'back' into apes would be as unlikely as you tossing your comfits into the air and having them reform as 'Happy Birthday'.
of course you are unimpressed with science: you don't understand it.
people who understand things are impressed with science.
people who don't understand things are impressed with religion.

The evolutionary process is not predictable nor is it directional. There is no way to know what new form we will become next.
You speak of "science" with such disdain, although it is probably the only thing that has allowed your ancestors to survive long enough to produce you! It also enables the computer you are using to function and the medical science that exists today to keep you healthy. I would show more respect for science if I were you.
As far as believing in GOD goes, that's fine, but your beliefs will not change the truth of Origin.

How the single cellular protozoa turned into complex vertebrates and eventually in to humans, of course ur answer would be out of monkeys(as per Darwin theory) than my question is why still we have monkeys? which is off course not true therefore there is some power which is called Allah(God),Who created every thing in perfect fashion. If u r interested in knowing further who is God , for what He has created u ,me and prophets including MOSES JESUS AND MOHAMMED(peace and blessings of God upon them all) than pl read Quran the last testament of God revealed to last and finale messenger Prophet Muhammed (pbuh)

Wow you're so far off the mark it's actually interesting...
"Is it possible to evolve back into one?"
-Simply put, no. There's nothing to support that direction, there's not evolutive edge for turning back. One of the main problems would be that we don't have the same number of chromosomes any longer.
Imagine breaking a glass... it goes from one thing to another.. but the reverse is not so easy. you could glue it together... or you could melt and recast it. The odds are there's nothing you could do to make it appear like it was before.
Humans can evolve into something else, but evolution really would ensure it's just a "better" version of a human. The result would never be an earlier version of a human.
"Is it possible that the apes that exist now are just people like us who evolved back into one?"
-No, as I explained :)
"What if one day, we will evolve into nothing?"
-Also not a possibility. Things evolve into better versions (more adapted to the environment they occupy), and nothingness isn't really possible from that point of view. That's both physically and philosphically impossble.
"If turning back into an ape is all that I have to look forward to, then I am glad that believe in God."
-Those things don't have anything to do with eachother... belief won't stop evolution. And no, you will remain you, and apes aren't a possible future direction for humans.
